This Yoga session focuses on Iyengar yoga for the male body
Increasing numbers of men are drawn to yoga to increase their flexibility and to reduce stress levels. The male body has a tendency to become stiffer as well as stronger and it helps to teach men using a different approach. Iyengar yoga has much to offer helping men understand how to work with their bodies and offering a wide range of props to assist.
This session is for men only and will be taught by an Iyengar yoga teacher, Nick Train, who teaches directly from his own experience.
After years of recreational running and aresulting stiff and creaky joints Nick realised he needed yoga – really badly! He was lucky enough to find a senior Iyengar teacher, Julie Hodges, and over the next 12 years, with infinite patience and inspired teaching, she not only helped him become more supple, but also encouraged him to train as an Iyengar yoga teacher. He has been running a men-only class since he qualified.
This yoga session is for men beginner and general level students.
Session times 11am- 1.30pm
Cost of yoga session: £20 members, £25 non-members.
