If you are completely new to yoga our induction course is the best place to start - see information under Induction Course below. The drop in beginners classes are suitable for anyone who has completed the induction course or has a little experience of yoga. The classes are designed to help beginners build their confidence as well as their strength and flexibility.  They are intended to get you started in Iyengar yoga and  you can then start attending our general classes.

The majority of our classes are general classes – designed to be suitable for everyone. They are the next step up for  beginners with some experience of Iyengar Yoga and are also suitable for more experienced students. These are well rounded classes where all are welcome.

Wednesday, 7.15-9.15pm

For those who have been practising Iyengar Yoga for some time and have confidence in their Asanas. These are more demanding classes and are aimed at those ready for more of a challenge.

The Wednesday evening class is with a senior Iyengar teacher, Sophie Carrington, and is not included as part of the monthly pass.

Restorative and Pranayama

Wednesday, 5.30-7pm , Restorative

Sunday, 2.30-4.30, combined restorative and Pranayama - 11 Feb

Iyengar Yoga emphasises the need to work hard but also the need to balance this with classes that help deeply rest and restore the body and mind. Restorative classes use props to support the body in restful poses. The Pranayama class is an introduction to yogic breathing practice. Ideally students should attend the restorative class before Pranayama. These classes are suitable for all levels of student.

We run a combined monthly restorative and Pranayama class introducing Pranayama and  a range of  restful Asana that prepare the body for Pranayama on the  Sunday dates shown.

Induction course

Sunday, 9-10.30am


This is a rolling five-week course, designed so you can begin at any week in the course. It offers a really good grounding in Iyengar Yoga in a small class setting and is suitable for anyone new to Iyengar Yoga. Booking is essential. 

- £50 payable in advance


Classes for pregnant women

Saturday, 1-2pm starting on 3rd Feb

This is a class for pregnant women focusing on how to do yoga safely and beneficially during pregnancy. It is aimed at women who have some experience of yoga before becoming pregnant. Places are limited to keep the class small and booking is essential.
