The joy of backbends - celebrating BKS Iyengar's and IYISL's birthday

To celebrate BKS Iyengar’s (Guruji’s) birthday and also to celebrate the day he came to open IYISL 28 years ago we are running a workshop focusing on backbends aimed at general and intermediate level students.
The Asana programme will require stamina with the focus Backword Extensions (Purva Pratana Sthiti), following Guruji’s sequence of asanas whilst being mindful of his words of guidance:
Long uninterrupted practice done with awareness brings success
Sun 14 Dec, 10am- 4.30pm with a break for lunch, aimed at general and intermediate level Iyengar Yoga students.
Workshop cost: £40 IYISL members, £45 non-members
